I get it, you are hesitant !!
I was hesitant before I signed up for my nutrition program !! I was hesitant to hire someone for my website !! I thought my almighty self can figure it out… then I decided to trust my gut , let go of my control and invest in my life and my business. So here are some FAQ ( Frequently Asked Questions) that you might find yourself asking before committing!!
1- But I don’t have time for healthy eating!
Well if you keep eating crap sooner or later you are going to have to find time to get a membership at the doctor’s office or for your trips to the hospital. Your body is so smart, wonder why it gets sick? To tell you to slow the heck down !! Not “having time” is an excuse…I am here to teach you to find ways and not excuses. I have a full time job, two kids ( 4 activities), a husband, a business and the house chores!! If I can do it , anyone can.
2- I can’t afford it
Your investment in health is priceless but if you insist. Coffee in the morning from Starbucks costs at least 5$ ( I am not mentioning the bagel or chocolate croissant you might get, which will up your bill to at least 10$), then lunch from McDonald’s or Subway is at least 10 ( you are definitely getting a drink with that ), then you have the afternoon coffee another 5$ and if you don’t cook you will order takeout Chinese or Mexican Food for the whole family which is at least 30$. You just spent 50$/day on junk! What you can buy with the 50$: organic baby spinach, big bag of organic carrots, organic celery, organic romaine lettuce, big bag of organic potatoes, organic apples, organic oranges, organic rice, organic quinoa, plant based milk and more!!! When you work with me, you will learn to shop and eat smarter not harder !! And yes, I’ll even do the math for you!
3- Am I going to become a vegetarian or vegan? I love meat.
Here is the deal: I do not eat meat but this is my choice and I do not force my clients to eat like me. Remember what works for me may not work for you and vice versa. We will develop an individual plan tailored to the specific needs of you and your family. We will increase your fruits and veggies intake and that’s for sure ! I will teach you the concept of crowding out which means when you eat food that your body loves digesting ( is familiar in digesting) little by little you will start eliminating the other stuff you used to eat. This is the power of body healing.
4- I do not like to cook!
Why don’t you? If you involve your kids and your spouse, cooking will become fun. Don’t think of it as a chore, think of it as feeding your kids food that will nourish their body, brain and cells. I will also teach you to cook smarter. It is all about practice . I hated cooking and I was horrible at it!! I would always mess up the recipes but two years ago I decided to cook daily, cook the same recipes, practice , practice , practice and now I love it. Some days I do not feel I have the energy to cook and I take a break. I ask my husband to cook instead and that works just fine but those days are rare.
5- How is this different from the free online information?
Well you are right, there are tons of free information online about healthy eating and living , but why didn’t you apply it yet? You read the article, maybe you do what it says for two days or a week and then you go back to the old habits. I am your personal trainer when it comes to health !! I will be your guide throughout the process. The free information online is not speaking to you, it is not YOUR PLAN. With me, we will develop a plan just for YOU and I will hold your hand ( virtually) throughout the process. Remember, I do not have a magic wand but I have the tools that I will teach you to be independent and confident when it comes to healthy living and healthy eating. Success will depend on YOU !! I will teach you the way but I can’t do your work for ya !! Are we clear on that?
